Stampede to Produce “NewsFlash” starring Seth Rogen

January 26, 2018

Stampede Ventures will be producing a new project surrounding the day John F. Kennedy was assassinated. The film will center around the iconic CBS newsman Walter Cronkite, who became the most trusted newsman that day.

Seth Rogen is attached to play Walter Cronkite. Mark Ruffalo is attached to play Don Hewitt. Bryan Cranston is attached to play Jim Aubrey. Logan Lerman is attached to play Dan Rather. David Gordon Green will be directing the drama from Ben Jacoby’s script. Our CEO Greg Silverman (Former Warner Bros. Worldwide Production Chief) will be producing alongside Adam Kolbrenner of Madhouse Entertainment. The film is being co-repped by CAA and UTA.

The film is looking to shoot this summer, with a tentative release in time for the 55th anniversary of JFK’s shooting death.
